In science,
Year 2 had been investigating different fruit and vegetable and
finding out why they were an important part of our diet.
They had also been look at a selection of tools; graters,
knives, peelers and discussing which would be best for cutting
or preparing each fruit or vegetable. Y2 then examined the
flesh, skin, seeds and stones which helped them to develop their
sensory vocabulary; smell, colour, taste.
In their DT
lesson, they used the tools to cut the vegetables into different
shapes, creating their own beautiful farmyard scene.
